Subaru Indonesia educates on driving safety with Subaru BRZ Safety Driving Course.

May 15, 2023

Tangerang, May 13, 2023 – Subaru Indonesia held an event titled Subaru BRZ Safety Driving Course, aimed at providing consumers with the opportunity to learn both the theory and practical techniques of driving, especially for rear-wheel drive vehicles (RWD). This driving safety education program aligns with Subaru Corporation Japan's mission to achieve "Zero fatal traffic accidents by 2030," wherein Subaru continues to develop designs, technologies, and ongoing driving safety education initiatives. In collaboration with Indonesia's first drift school, J99XAR Drift Academy, the event took place at J99 Maxx Drift Circuit and was attended by Subaru BRZ customers and enthusiasts' community in Indonesia.

"Subaru Indonesia is delighted to organize this event together with J99XAR for Subaru BRZ owners and enthusiasts. We hope that through this event, participants will gain valuable theoretical knowledge and practical experience, enhancing awareness about the importance of safe driving. Specifically, we aspire for Subaru BRZ users to comprehend and maximize the potential of their vehicles, thereby reducing driving risks under any circumstances," stated Arie Christopher, Chief Operating Officer of Subaru Indonesia.

Safety is ingrained in Subaru's DNA, and "Zero fatal traffic accidents by 2030" stands as Subaru Corporation Japan's mission to ensure roads that are more pedestrian, cyclist, child, and elderly-friendly. Subaru's focus on driving safety began as far back as 1960, with Subaru 360 being one of the mass-produced vehicles subjected to crash tests. Subaru also became the first Japanese brand to receive a 5-star ANCAP crash test result in 2003. In Indonesia, the commitment to driving safety education is realized through the Subaru BRZ Safety Driving Course, a collaborative effort with J99XAR Drift Academy, which excels in controlling rear-wheel drive vehicles and has produced drifters competing in the national drifting championship of the country.
